OVERVIEW
Making access to the arts limitless
CHANGE Arts wants to see the arts-going demographic become more diverse and colorful, while in pursuit of personal, communal, and systemic change.
PARTNERSHIP
Helping CHANGE Arts support students and community partners
CHANGE Arts wants to develop a platform so its members can easily search for the right arts event that is best for its community partnerships all across the country. CHANGE wants to democratize what's possible when art and access are fully realized.
Over 3 months, I worked with my team to build a free platform for all arts presenters, arts education providers, and arts support organizations (e.g., Theatre Communications Group, Dance/USA, etc.) to promote arts education and engagement services, productions, and exhibits to any CHANGE Arts partner.
Setting the groundwork
We familiarized ourselves with the organization during the first few meetings with the client since the project did not have any existing data and analytics as a 0-to-1 product.
Goal #1
Create a hub for arts education resources
Design a website to provide a searchable arts resource for education providers and community groups to access best-matching arts materials.
Feature #1
Search engine/event page
Users can explore popular events, search for arts events, and find Teaching Artists.
Feature #2
Branding and design system
We would combine the Change Art's rainbow colors in the new design system.
Goal #2
Support community partners
Offer arts organization partners and Teaching Artists access to upload and share updated artworks and events.
Feature #3 — What I worked on!
Member and partner logins
Each role has its own set of information needed when creating an account.
Feature #4
Request forms
Manage arts education service requests and ticket subsidization for events and Teaching Artists.
VISUAL IDENTITY
Incorporating Change Art's branding into our design system
Once our team and client felt comfortable moving forward with the goals of the design, we worked on building a design system from scratch. We wanted to make sure that the UI matched the vibe of playful art discovery that our client was looking for.
